At Port Washington State Bank, every employee is encouraged to give back to their community in some way. It's something that many of our customers and community partners notice and appreciate.

Chanel Schmidt is one of the employees that we see in the community frequently.

Chanel is part of the new Belgium Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program which began just this summer. This program was created to help the Chamber  increase the number of "hands" available at events to make them successful. Chanel received this award for her help with every single event since the inception of the program including Summer Nights Live, Splash Pad Sundays and Luxembourg Fest.

Chamber President Tara Williams provided some kind words about Chanel. “'What can I do to help?' is a common question from Chanel, and she goes above and beyond the call of duty as a volunteer. When we were looking for ideas to keep Splash Pad Sunday fresh, she organized a dunk tank to be delivered, on behalf of the CGBPTSO, where she also serves as President and faithful volunteer. They then donated the funds, totaling $500, to the Cedar Grove and Belgium Fire departments."

Congratulations Chanel, and THANK YOU for all you do to make our communities great!
