Port Washington State Bank promoted Chanel Schmidt to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager at its Belgium office. The position was awarded in response to current branch manager Annie Noster's retirement from PWSB after 43 years of dedicated service.

Chanel has been in banking for over 20 years. In 2014, Chanel joined PWSB as a customer service representative (CSR) and eventually became a personal banker and new staff educator. In the community, she is a member of the Belgium Chamber of Commerce where she was awarded the Belgium Chamber Ambassador Award in 2019.

"Annie will be greatly missed, but there is no better person to follow in Annie's footsteps than Chanel. Chanel had one of the best role models in banking to guide her to this point in her career," commented Steve Schowalter, President and CEO.

The Belgium location (545 Main Street) is hosting an open house to honor Annie's many years of service on Friday, February 21. Customers and businesses are invited to visit throughout the day to enjoy cake and cookies with Annie, Chanel and the rest of the staff.  "I will always have my PWSB family, they will always be there for us.  That's what makes working there so special," Annie commented.
