Gather your sensitive documents that need shredding and your unused medications! Then grab lunch with the Chinooks and PWSB.

When and Where

The Chinooks are teaming up with Port Washington State Bank to host a community-wide shredding event on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Thiensville Village Park located at 250 Elm Street.

What to Bring

A shredding truck will be collecting and professionally shredding (on site) your sensitive documents. Your papers will be finely shredded and then the paper recycled. Note that the shredders are strong enough to shred paper clips, staples, hanging folders, file folders, magazines, and hardbound books. However, the following cannot be shredded: metal (aside from paper clips and staples), binder clips, 3-ring binders, plastic, DVD’s, CD’s, cell phones, and batteries.

Also bring your unused medications in a clear plastic bag. These will be safely disposed of by the Thiensville Police Department.

Limitations

Note that due to the high demand for shredding and the limited space in the shredding truck, each vehicle is allowed 2 boxes or 2 grocery bags of papers. Moreover, when the truck is full, unfortunately we cannot accept additional materials to shred, so please plan accordingly.

Free Lunch

The Lakeshore Chinooks Baseball Club will be providing a free lunch to the first 500 participants which includes a brat or hot dog, chips and a soda or water. Participants will also receive special ticket offers and coupons.

Everyone’s favorite fish, Gill, will also be in attendance to greet fans.

The Lakeshore Chinooks 2023 season presented by Port Washington State Bank (Member FDIC) will kick off on Friday, June 2nd at 6:35pm. Season and group tickets are available now, single game tickets go on sale in May.
