Congrats to PWSB! Once again, Port Washington State Bank has earned the honor of being a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Top Workplace, making it a 10-time winner. This award is determined based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
Top Workplace Survey Description
The survey measures several aspects of the workplace culture, including alignment, where the company is headed, its values, and cooperation. It also measures connection, whether employees feel appreciated and that their work is meaningful, as well as effectiveness, doing things efficiently and well, sharing different viewpoints, and encouraging new ideas. How well managers care about employees and help them develop is also considered as is overall confidence in the company’s leaders. Final ratings in the survey revolve around engagement, that is, motivation, retention, and recruiting and also the basics of pay, benefits, flexibility, training, and expectations.

Once survey results are in, the companies are grouped according to size, and within each size bracket, companies who score the highest receive the award.
