Employee Volunteers Donate Their Time to Serve Local Communities

In an effort to celebrate the strong bond and relationship between local businesses, schools, families and their hometown community bank, Port Washington State Bank is recognizing the Power of Community Week April 20 – 24 during National Community Banking Month and National Financial Literacy and Capability Month.

Members of our community know that we don’t just do business here, we live here and are proud to call this area our home."

The Purpose of The Power of Community Week

The purpose of Power of Community Week is to highlight the longstanding tradition of local hometown banking and the relationship banks have with their communities.

What PWSB did for The Power of Community Week

Bank employees volunteered their time to help with spring clean-up at Balance Inc’s adult family homes, volunteering at both Port Food Pantry and the Ozaukee Food Alliance, and planting and mulching at Riveredge Nature Center. PWSB is also reading books about good saving habits to more than 1,400 students in our county schools and teaching local youth the power of the dollar at JA Biz Town.
