A playground designed for Everyone

Excitement is building in Mequon as the new All-User Playground takes shape at Rotary Park in Mequon. Nestled within the park’s scenic 95 acres, the playground will be located near the south pavilion at 4100 Highland Road, creating a welcoming destination for families of all abilities.

Designed by Gerber Leisure and Zimmerman Architectural Studios, the playground will feature a large central play structure complete with ramps, slides, and climbing elements. Surrounding attractions will include multiple swing options, among them a wheelchair-accessible swing, along with sliders, archways, play mounds, fitness equipment, and other engaging features. Thoughtfully integrated pathways, landscaping, benches, and shaded gathering areas will blend seamlessly into the park’s natural setting. Improvements will also include safer entrances, perimeter barriers, enhanced walkways, and upgraded restroom facilities.

The project has attracted strong community support, including a $110,000 contribution from Port Washington State Bank, helping bring this inclusive vision to life for local families and visitors.

Built to inspire years of exploration, the playground is designed to grow with its users. Children will discover new challenges through climbing structures and swings at varying heights, encouraging active play, confidence, and skill development as they mature.

Created specifically for this site, the playground prioritizes accessibility, safety, durability, and long-term value. Nearly all components are constructed from steel and other metals, minimizing the use of plastic and reducing maintenance needs. Backed by industry-leading warranties, the playground is designed to serve generations of families while providing a lasting investment in the community.
