Each year, the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) recognizes bankers for their service and dedication to our industry and their community. The Lifetime Service Awards recognize individuals who have served in the banking industry for a minimum of 30 years, and the awards are given at each decade above 30.

This past year, four employees of Port Washington State Bank earned Lifetime Service awards (shown left to right in photo above):

  1. Sharon Niesing, VP/Mortgage Lender, 40 years
  2. Christine King, VP/Branch Manager, 40 years
  3. Sally Savatski, Customer Service Representative II, 40 years
  4. Jay Schreurs, VP/Senior Mortgage Lending Officer, 30 years

"We're proud of those who were honored today for their many years of dedication to Ozaukee County," commented James Schowalter,  President and COO. "The story of our own longevity is owed to employees that love what they do, and do it well," he added.

Past honorees of the WBA Lifetime Service Award include Steve Schowalter, Chairman and CEO, a 50-year banking veteran, Mark Schowalter, Vice Chairman, a 50-year banking veteran and Ron Schowalter, Chairman Emeritus, a 70-year banking veteran.
