Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center Receives Donations to Aid Abused Children

PWSB was proud to present a $5,000 donation to Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center as part of their annual appeal. The bank’s sponsorship was a catalyst for donations as part of a match campaign that ran from December 2021 to January 2022.

Funds raised from the annual appeal will ensure Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington and Manitowoc County residents have access to critical services that protect children who may be victims of abuse. They provide forensic interviews and medical exams to help identify cases of abuse or maltreatment. Beyond identification, they offer mental health services to aid children recovering from trauma, as well as child and family advocacy, ensuring that families have access to supportive services in the area.

President and chief operating officer James Schowalter commented on the need for such services in our county: “We’re grateful to Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center for filling the gap and looking after the endangered children in our communities. We can’t thank this organization enough for the work they do.”

Amanda Didier, Executive Director shared the impact that the donation has made: “We are profoundly grateful for the caring and compassionate individuals that make up the Port Washington State Bank family. Children will continue to find their way out of the darkness to a path of healing and hope because of your generosity.”
