This year, to celebrate its 125th anniversary, Port Washington State Bank is contributing to several major park projects around Ozaukee County. PWSB recently pledged $15,000 in support for the new splash pad in Thiensville’s Village Park. A Gala hosted by the bank on June 1st was used to help raise money. At the event, the bank pledged a double match of $250 for every $125 donation via the committee’s paddle raise campaign. The outstanding amount of $16,000 was raised that evening thanks to several other supporters of the project that attended that evening.
James Schowalter, President and COO of Port Washington State Bank stated, “We’re pleased to help fund this new addition to the park. Investing in our communities has always been and will continue to be a key part of our mission. We see ourselves as more than a local financial institution; we’re an active community member, always looking for ways to make a difference.”
Heather Mader, VP/Branch Manager in Mequon commented on the exciting features that the new splash pad will bring: “From fun daytime water play during hot weather to enchanting year-round nighttime lights displays and music, the splash pad promises enjoyment for kids of all ages and abilities, even accommodating those with special needs who love the water. No doubt, it will be a special place for community members and visitors.”
“At our Thiensville and Mequon branches, we will have information about the project and will be accepting donations,” added Heather Mader, VP/Branch Manager in Mequon. “Donations can be made payable to Thiensville Village Park ReImagined.
