Birthday cake ingredients will be collected at the Grafton, Port, and Saukville PWSB branches January 27 – February 22.
Celebrating birthdays typically involves cake; however, some less-fortunate families in our neighborhoods may not be able to afford such a treat. To help make birthdays special for these families, Family Sharing, the Ozaukee Food Alliance, and the Port Food Pantry strive to have birthday cake making “kits” on hand. In an effort to bolster supplies, PWSB will be a collection site for ingredients from January 27 – February 22. We encourage you to consider giving so that kiddos can enjoy the tradition that many of us take for granted.
Recommended donations include box cake mixes, canned frosting, sprinkles, small bottles of baking oil, birthday cake candles, streamers, and general birthday cards. Donations can be brought to the Grafton, Port or Saukville PWSB bank lobbies any time during the last week in January through the first three weeks of February. In lieu of birthday cake ingredients, cash or checks payable to the Grafton Leos Club will be accepted as well. Also visit https://grafton-leos-club.square.site/ to donate. Please consider giving to families that might not be able to provide a birthday cake for their child. All donations stay within the local community.
