PWSB Shred Events in 2026

Join us for our next shredding event on Saturday, October 10, in Thiensville from 10:30 am - noon. The Thiensville Police Department will also be collecting unused prescriptions as part of National Drug Take Back Day.

For this event, we will also be collecting cash donations for Thiensville Village Park Re-Imagined.

WHAT TO BRING

A shredding truck will be collecting and professionally shredding your sensitive documents on site. Your papers will be finely shredded and then recycled. Note that the shredders are strong enough to shred paper clips, staples, hanging folders, file folders, magazines and hardbound books. However, the following cannot be shredded: metal (aside from paper clips and staples), binder clips, 3-ring binders, plastic, DVDs, CDs, cell phones and batteries.

For the drug drop, you may bring unwanted or expired prescription, over the counter, or household medications. The Thiensville Police Department will be on hand to securely and safely dispose of these items.

LIMITATIONS

Note that due to the high demand for shredding and the limited space in the shredding truck, each vehicle is allowed 2 boxes or 2 grocery bags of paper.

For the drug drop, the following items will be accepted:

  • Prescriptions
  • Vitamins
  • Over the Counter Medications
  • Pet Medications
  • Lotions
  • Ointments
  • Samples

For all other items, please contact your local police department for safe disposal options. There is no limit on number of items.
